Sadly,
Mike went missing.
He was 8 and lived a free life, indoors or out, whenever he
wanted. He ate Rats, Birds, Lizards, Bugs, pretty much whatever
he could catch. He would also eat, or at least try, whatever
it was I was eating, at nearly every meal. He liked oatmeal
with honey, pizza, brocolli with cheese, doritos, and the obvoius
meat choices. He was also completely nuts. He would act scared
of my 50 when i started it, but then turn and chase me on it
when I would ride it in the driveway. He'd chase pebbles we'd
throw at him until the sun set, and act as if each one were
live bait - sometimes getting acrobatic in attempts at mid air
captures. He'd climb these 50-foot palms by the pool and wait
for the local Crows. The Crows hated him, and even started stalk
the trees before landing to make sure he wasn't chillin' there
already. There was the Owl incedent too, and that was a scary
one. It left a mark. Everyone who met him could tell right away
he was different, and I truly believe he thought he was some
sort of dog, because he was around them from the time he was
micro. He had to rank as one of the coolest Cats who
ever lived.
